  The Alkaline phenolic resin curing agent for ester curing is organic ester, and the addition amount is 20% to 30% of the resin amount. Commonly used are glycerol acetate, lactone or a mixture of these esters. An important characteristic of resin sand is that the final strength of the molding sand is the highest when it is just mixed, and the final strength gradually decreases with the extension of time. When only 70% of the final strength is left, the production time at this time is called the usable time.

  The operator needs to complete the operation within the limited usable time. At this time, the molding sand has good fluidity, real-time labor-saving pounding, and high molding sand strength. Therefore, an important principle of Alkaline phenolic resin sand operation is that it should be formed as soon as possible after mixing, and the molding and core making should be completed within the usable time.

  Alkaline phenolic resin is used with various curing agents, and the corresponding type of ester should be selected according to the sand temperature or air temperature. It can also be used in combination with fast ester (such as G6) or slow ester (or G1) to adjust the ratio of fast and slow ester. The use time can be adjusted arbitrarily from a few minutes to 60 minutes to adapt to the working conditions and production rhythm of medium and small castings.

  The automatic mixing of fast and slow esters is to meet the requirements of the usable time at different stages in the production process of large steel castings.
